Reading Fluency

It was easy because it was only a small book also the words was easy to read.  Next time I should do a harder book and read more fluently.

My ANZAC Presontion


We read lots of books and articles about war.  We listened to someone who was in the war.
We wanted to share the information and new information that we have learned from our readings and our findings with our peers.

It was tricky to find the information.
It was easy to find the photo.
I'm most proud of my presentation.  I found it hard to put some of the information from the internet into my own words.

Character profile

W.A.L.T write a character profile.  I am most proud of the work that I have done and what I have achieved.  I like how I done my Lucy the cow picture on Kid pix.  I loved the story because it had lots of different characters and some were funny, evil and ugle.

Authors response- Reading


I am learning to identify and describe what the author wanted me to feel, think about or see.


Success Criteria.
I will know I have been successful when:

  • I can identify what I think the author’s purpose might be
  • I can identify the big idea or message/s in the story through character actions or events
  • I can describe the thoughts, feelings and actions in the story and link it to author purpose
  • I can find evidence in the text to support my thinking, feelings and observations
  • I can identify how the illustrations help to get the author’s message across

This is my reading evidence.
I found this hard because I couldn't think of a book to write about. Next time it will be easier to do because my teacher helped me with this one so I will be able to do it next time.

Cats and Dogs venn diagram

Today I did a venn diagram about cats and dogs.  I found lots of things the same and some differences.  I found this easy and fun.  My next step is to add another animal so I will compare three things.

What I have learnt about Kangaroos.


My Reading Reflection

I have been learning to find information in the text.
We read a book about kangaroos.
Before we started reading we had to write what we already know about Kangaroos and what we wanted to learn.  I found this easy because my teacher helped me.  I learnt a lot about kangaroos. 
My next step is to find key words.
